Preferences (View menu)

The View / Preferences command lets you view and change preferences which affect the overall operation of ScopeFIR. Preferences include:

  • Advanced Editor Defaults. Lets you change default values which appear in the Advanced Parks-McClellan Editor when you begin a new Advanced project.
  • Auto View After Design/Auto View After Import. Lets you select which views will be automatically shown after Designing or Importing a filter. You may individually enable/disable automatic viewing of Impulse Response, Frequency Response, or Coefficient Data.
  • Scale Filter. Lets you select when the Scale Filter feature will be automatically activated. The Scale Filter dialog, can be automatically invoked when you Design, Import, or Mix a filter. This dialog lets you specify how automatic scaling will occur.
  • Default Min dB. This is the original value of minimum dB.
