ScopeFIR's Design Options give you advanced control over ScopeFIR's filter design and optimization engine. You can specify any of the following:
You can access the design options for your filter via the Design Options command on the FIR menu or by clicking on the Design Options button of the design editor. (That's the button in the upper left of each design editor that shows the current sampling frequency.) After you change the Design Options, you should design or optimize the filter to apply the new options.
The Design Options are applied in the order shown above after each design or optimization iteration. Specifically:
For example, if all three Design Options have been enabled, ScopeFIR's design/optimize process will design a filter with the number of taps constrained as specified, then convert it to minimum-phase form, then quantize it to the specified number of bits.
